So you’ve been blogging for a while now and have built a loyal band of RSS subscribers, not to mention several thousand page views a month. You’ve worked hard and you wonder how you can reap the rewards of your success.

I recently had a message-versation with a well respected and successful blogger (excellent subscriber and pageview stats) within my niche and I was surprised (I’m sure she won’t mind me saying) to find that although she had built a highly engaging blog (I’ve been reading for about two years!) she hadn’t the faintest idea how to turn that success into some hard-earned dollars.

A few days later I received an email from another blogger asking how she can get started with making money from her blog.

Over the next few days I will give you a total of ten ways to make money from your blog. I have tried to describe each method as simply as possible, giving details of the kind of success you can expect, the work involved and what kind of blogs each method might suit.

1. Text Link Ads

I’ve had a reasonable amount of success with text link ads and currently average around £60/$120 per month. If you want to make a small(ish) amount of money with no effort at all this is the option for you.

Simply submit your site and once accepted you are given some code which you copy and paste somewhere near the top of your blog, you can see mine in the right hand column (under sponsors). Text Link Ads sell links on your behalf, the fees are split 50/50. The starting price for links (selling price) is usually around $25 and rises as your links sell out, however, if your blog is well established with a high page rank you could be earning much more.

A page rank 4 is usually the minimum that Text Link Ads accept (check page rank here). Text Link Ads is great for anyone who has a page rank 4 blog who would like to earn a bit of money with minimal effort.

Text Link Ads has had a lot of publicity recently as some bloggers believe that selling text links can harm your google page rank, proceed with caution.

On a side note, you can also make money by introducing other bloggers, however, I’ve never made any money doing that.

Feel free to ask questions, I’m sure between us we can answer them :)
