Top 5 Life Dreams and 15 More…
My life dreams at sixteen were to get my own house, get married and start a family, I completed that last year when I gave birth to Erin, which has meant lots of soul searching this year as to what to do next!
I was in two minds whether I wanted to share my most personal dreams and ambitions with the world (or the hundred or so daily visitors). It’s a bit daunting, my dreams are ambitious, some might even say unachievable but I am very focussed on them and I decided to share them because in a way I am making myself accountable, if only to myself.
1. Build/Design a House
This is my ultimate dream. I’d like to find a plot of land with an amazing view and design a house with Alex that we can live in for the rest of our lives. For me it’s the ultimate project and a tangible reward for a lifetime of hard work.
2. Get a Teaching Degree
This is really just the first part, as obviously I would like to become a primary school teacher, and thereafter, who knows… I’d love to be involved in primary education reform in the UK.
3. Create My Own Income Stream
This one comes partly from my inner entrepreneur, and partly due to the fact that designing and building a house costs quite a few pennies. I should clarify that the income stream cannot be trading hours for money ie freelancing or being employed, but from a business or other venture/s, somethin that I have created myself.
4. Travel across America
This is something Alex and I want to do together and it encompasses many of our ‘things to do before we die’ like; Visit Las Vegas, see the Grand Canyon, Go to the Superbowl, Go to the Mile High Stadium, See the White House, Visit where JFK was shot, Visit the bar where Top Gun was filmed, Go to New York, Go to the top of the Empire State Building, Work on a Ranch, Visit every state.
5. Gain Financial Freedom to Pursue 15 Other Life Ambitions

6. Take Erin to Lapland
7. Play in a live poker tournament at the casino
8. Go to the Olympics and be in the audience for the womens gymnastics
9. Go to a Winter Olympics and be in the audience for the ice skating
10. Go white water rafting
11. Go on a safari
12. Visit Hong Kong
13. Go quadbiking
14. Read 100 books in one year.
15. Learn to buy and trade in the stock market (and be able to afford it!)
16. Take Erin to Disneyland
17. Go on an Alaskan cruise
18. Visit every European city
19. Go on a winter ski trip
20. Go to Canada
It goes without saying that if I achieve nothing but being a good mother, and I see none other than my daughter’s happiness then I will be very satisfied.

You are definitely an ambitious woman! That is a lot! I too would love to build and design a home, however having an architect as my father has shown me just how daunting that task can be so it isn’t number 1 on my list anymore, it is still there but I’ve decided some others would be more rewarding to me

I like the idea of announcing your top 5 life dreams so you’ll be more accountable to yourself. I’d like to do that, but don’t know what they are. Having a good think is something that should be on my list.
