Top 5 Fruits for Toddlers

You thought breastfeeding/making up bottles was hard, and then you have to feed them ‘real’ food with mixed success. Bread and fruit have been Erin’s staple during the lean times when nothingelse would pass her lips.

Save Money with a Toddler

A while back I wrote an article about keeping costs low as a new mum, it’s time to update that article with ideas suitable for toddlers and the parents of.
Food
Milk
We moved from powder milk to full fat milk as soon as Erin was 12 months (recommended earliest age). Not only is the carton milk cheaper it’s also ready made – our mornings became that little bit smoother as a result.
Breakfast

Musical Instruments for Toddlers

Erin loves musical instruments and we have a pretty well stocked box. Here’s seven we have, and one that I’m going to add soon.
Maracas

We have a kid-sized wooden pair.
Castanets

Erin hasn’t quite figured these out yet, but I’m sure when she does, we’ll have hours of noisy fun!
Tambourine

Drum

This drum looks sooo much more fun than ours!
Bells
These remind me of the bells we used in the nativity play to symbolize the reindeer.
Rattles
These have a variety of bead type fillings.

And we’d like to add a recorder next!

How To Make a Happy Sun

Happy Sun
You will need;
A paper plate
Yellow paint
Yellow and orange tissue paper
Black crayon or pencil
Glue
1. Paint your paper plate yellow. And leave to dry.
2. Cut out lots of triangles from the tissue paper.
3. Glue the triangles all around the edge of the plate to make the sun’s rays.
4. Draw a smiley face onto your sun.
