Picture Perfect Meme

By Little Mummy, November 4, 2009 11:22 am

DSCF1878

Tara started this one (she starts a lot of things) and I was tagged by Linda. Basically I had to get Erin to do a drawing of me, and here it is…

Erin’s three. I have a head which seems to double as a body, long arms and I look like a cross between a Little Miss from Mr. Men and Hitler, an interesting combination. The squiggles at the side of the head are my cheeks, they often hang off the side of my face. My hais is a mess at the moment as depicted in the picture with many, many squiggly lines.

So there you have it Little Mummy as drawn by Erin.

Ten Favourite Moments From Last 12 Months

By Little Mummy, October 2, 2009 1:25 am

I’ve been tagged by Linda, how I need an uplifting meme like this right now, so here goes my ten favourite moments from the last 12 months;

1. Trip to the Gower

I’m from South Wales and a lot of our family still live there. We had a great time staying with family in the gower. If you haven’t been, the gower is stunning with lovely villages and little bays and larger bays where the surfies hang out. We enjoyed swimming, halloween parties, pottery and more… I even squeezed in some DJ’ing!

2. Christmas 2008

Christmas is always great, last year we stayed at home and had a lovely relaxing time while Erin played all day with her new toys.

3. Poker Wins and Samsung NC10
I’ve been playing poker for a few years now, over the new year I won a few online tournaments and I spent the money on a Samsung NC10 which is one of the best things I’ve ever bought myself.

4. Disney Bloggers Trip

The most fabulous thing to have happened to me via my blog. I met seven wonderful people and had the most special experience that I’ll never forget.

5. Bunchrew House

You know those times when the weather’s perfect and you’re somewhere lovely with the people you love and the kids are behaving etc… and for a while you think you’re the happiest person in the world. Well this was one of those occasions, and I have the photos to prove it :)

6. Our Disney Holiday

Two glorious weeks of great weather, great food, great activities and even better company.

7. Trip to visit my brother and his fiance

I hadn’t seen my brother for a while so it was great to catch up and see his new pad, also nice to spend some time with my mum.

8. Ten Years Together

Alex and I reached a ten year milestone in August. We didn’t make an outwardly big deal of it but we’ve grown as a partnership this year due to some unfortunate circumstances and I’m thankful that we have each other and look forward to lots more happy years.

9. Erin starting Nursery

My little girl had her own little milestone starting nursery at the ‘big school’. She constantly surprises me with the ease in which she makes these transitions. She’s happy, intelligent, funny and great company.

10. Too many moments to mention with Erin

It’s all those little moments that you can’t remember individually but together fill your heart with the most immense joy. The kisses, the ‘I love you’s', the dens I make, the stories we read, the tickles and toy fights, the chats about nursery and the world…..I could go on and on but I’m blubbing now.

I’ve been tagged by WAHM-BAM!, here goes;

1. What are your current obsessions?

Definitely blogging at the moment as I’m on a bloggers trip, I might not have mentioned it :)

2. Which item of clothes do you wear most often?
Hoodies and trainers

3. What’s for dinner tonight?

I’m not sure but I know we’re going to Tony’s Town Square which is in Magic Kingdom, I think it’s Italian.

4. What’s the last thing you bought?

A present for my husband, I can’t say what in case he’s reading, but it’s very cool.

5. What are you currently listing to?

CNN, American news is soooo OTT.

6. What TV shows are you watching at the moment?

The Apprentice, Great British Menu, Grand Designs

7. What are you reading now?

Just a Family Affair by Veronica Henry and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.

8. Use four words to describe yourself?

I hate these type of questions…ummm…ok, here goes.

Happy, lucky, fulfilled, developing

9. What is your guilty pleasure?

In many ways this trip is a guilty pleasure, I’m having an amazing time yet there is still that element of mummy guilt. They all seem to be coping fine though, which is good, isn’t it?

10. Who or what makes you laugh until you’re weak?

My husband, stawberry daquiris, ridiculous situations, Linda and the disney staff outfits.

11. First spring thing?

Asparagus

12. Where are you planning on travelling next?

Haha, back to Walt Disneyworld, Florida in June, with my family this time.

13. What was the best thing you ate or drank recently?

The last two meals have been equally good, on the first night I had striploin steak with rainbow carrots, potatoes and a lovely sauce (photos coming). Last night I had pork tenderloin with spaetzl, red onion chutney and cider jus. Both meals were out of this world, some of the best I’ve had.

14. When did you last get tipsy?

Last night, the disney bloggers were all hysterical on no sleep and the surreal situation, we laughed for three hours solid :) Good times.

15. What is your favourite film?

Dirty Dancing

16. Share a piece of wisdom.

I believe in fate so…

The signs are there you just have to be open to seeing and hearing them.

17. What’s your favourite song?

I have a special song for my daughter which is Tiny Dancer by Elton John. It’s really cute as she knows this is her song and she recognises it.

18. Where’s the best place you’ve ever been?

The most beautiful place is without a doubt Santorini, the most fun is obviously Disney.

Here’s how it works;

I tag you. You answer the questions, replace one question with a question of your choice and then tag 8 people. Simple! Here’s the 8 people I tag.
