How To Prepare a Formula Feed

There’s always so much information about breastfeeding but never much guidance for formula feeding. This is just a general idea of what’s involved, you should always read the instructions on the tin.
1. Read the back of the tin it gives clear directions and measurements.
2. Take a sterilized bottle and fill with cooled boiled water.
3. Measure out the powder formula with the scoop provided, level off with the back of a clean knife.
4. Add formula to water, replace cap and shake until you have smooth milk.

How did you feed your baby?

Great Nan (mother of 3)
I breastfed all my children until they were five months. I also helped feed a premature baby, this was commonplace in my day.

Bottle Feeding = Bad Mother ?

I am bottle-feeding Erin.
What judgements have you made about me? Maybe you haven’t made any, are you bottle-feeding too? Or maybe you think I am a bad mother. Selfish. Don’t love my baby. More interested in being able to drink and eat what I want. Too lazy to get up in the night to do all the feeds.
Actually I have Crohn’s and the medication I am on would actually harm Erin if I breastfed her.
