If you are like me, just simply seeing a Gingerbread house signifies that Christmas is here! So if you fancy making your very own Gingerbread house and even get your little ones involved too then why not watch the video below and make your own!

I always thought that it would be a really hard project to undertake with my children let alone on my own but after watching the full video, it seems to be a lot easier than I thought.
You can make the house as big ...

You can make the house as big as you want and decorate it in whatever sweets and icing you like. They make a great table centrepiece and this could be something you take into consideration when decorating it to tie it in with the rest of your tableware.

The great thing about making a gingerbread house is it can be a great activity you do with your children. Other than the size of the panels of the house you don’t need to be that accurate and you can use whatever extra’s you want to add to your house. I love the welcome mat and the snowman that is used on the video!

So if you want to occupy your children for a few hours then why not have a go at making one of these super wintry gingerbread houses and let your imaginations run wild!

Baking again, must be some kind of record for us, but how could we resist English Mum’s Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownies. Answer: we couldn’t, although you should ignore her serving suggestions and go straight for good vanilla ice cream as an accompaniment

It’s the old favourite, helper’s perks an all that!

Erin’s ‘special’ smile.

On the beach at North Berwick, hair a bit windswept and not too wonderful

You’ll have heard of the recent muffin-off, well I decided that competitive baking wasn’t really my bag (I don’t even own a cake tin!), however, having seen Laura’s efforts (sorry Laura) I was compelled to give it a bish bash bosh (sorry, full to the brim with crohns and flu plus tablets, may be slightly delirious).
Of course I used Englishmum’s base muffin recipe, why wouldn’t you? It’s seriously good. I added white chocolate buttons (leftover from Easter) and pecans (leftover from previous planned baking sessions, all non-starters!)

Overall, very pleased, much cheaper and tastier than Tesco variety, however, it’s clear from the disfigurement I need to buy a cake tin.

Today was a busy day, first I started a new work at home job, then this afternoon I helped a friend with her wedding invitations.
Erin enjoyed some ‘Daddy Time’. Together they produced these white chocolate crispy cakes

(I’m not quite sure if the spring onion in the background is for garnish?!?!)
I was informed that they simply melted some white chocolate, added puffed rice cereal and mixed together. They then divided the mix into paper cases, licked the bowl (!) and decorated with mini eggs and milky bar ...
