Just a wee bit ‘o’ random news…
Tie Die Bra
I managed to completely ruin a white wash this week with the tiniest bit of red knicker elastic, seriously, is there anything more irritating? Looks like this domestic goddess/stay at home mum/housewife lark might take a bit of practice.
Littlemummy Forced into Abstinence
So it’s been a while since the Disney trip and I hadn’t touched a drop since being back, no honestly, I’d been completely teetotal so I decided on Friday that it was time to indulge in a wee baileys. I popped the ice tray in to freeze and went upstairs to run a bath when suddenly… darkness, everything was out. We managed to locate my mobile to use as a torch (TA training is useful for something) and all the switches were right (can you tell I have no idea what I’m talking about??). We went into the street to find a few other people milling around with no leccy either. Nightmare. Nevermind I thought, it’ll be back on in a bit, so I lit a few candles and Alex and I had a chat, quite pleasant it was too (note to self: try this ‘chatting’ thing more often). Half hour or so passed by and with no sign of light we called Scottish Power to be told that someone had been sent out (just sent out??!!). I resigned myself to the fact that my baileys was a no go and went to bed. The power wasn’t back on until 7am. Not to worry though I made up for the abstinence last night by having three large baileys.
Alex in Breastfeeding Shocker
Minding our own business at Tesco’s when Alex is approached by breastfeeding advisors;
“would you like some advice on breastfeeding sir”
I could make a joke about man boobs here but I won’t (I quite like my marriage), but seriously their taking the breastfeeding drive just a little too far, no?
Michelle left a comment, she noticed that I’d been AWOL, I’m back to explain myself!
Well, as you can see I’m still here, and still blogging. I’ve celebrated a birthday and have been inspired to change a few things, they are quite big things and it’s taking time,I should be honest too and say that I’ve been indulging in quite a bit of poker recently (and winning yay!).
Whats changing…?
Em, where to start really, I’ve been working a lot on Project 500 as well as the freelance project that kicked off in January (lots more to come on this). I’m working on updating this blog and getting articles on Bukisa, because I plan to get this blog back to parenting and start a new blog (more on that later). Also I plan to cull a few other projects. I know this is all very vague, but all will become apparent soon
In the meantime, if you read littlemummy for the parenting stuff then I’ll be back soon. If you are one of the new subscribers interested in working from home/making money/email newsletters etc etc watch this space, my new blog is coming!
Okay, I hope that explains things a bit, be back soon!

Christmas & 2009
Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I’m soooo excited now! 2009 doesn’t look to be too bad either, I’ve had some interesting conversations over the past few days which could make 2009 and Project 500 very interesting indeed.
My weekend consisted of the above
Child-Proofing
Erin went on ‘holiday’ to her aunties so we capitalised and did what all good parents do when they get a night off – we childproofed the livingroom.
Erin doesn’t really go far, but we have changed the livingroom around so she has a full corner for her toys and to play in. Alex somberly disconnected the surround sound until we have time to wire it up properly so that no cords are available to prying eyes, hands, mouths… We have installed plug protectors too.
Christmas Shopping
We more or less finished ‘helping’ Santa with presents for Erin. We haven’t gone mad, and to be honest we struggled finding toys that we really like for Erin. Her sensible
pile includes the, Leapfrog LittleTouch LeapPad
, LeapFrog Hug & Learn Baby Tad
, Baby Barney, Mr Men book ends, my first baby doll, large building blocks, wooden blocks, stacking cups, books etc..
