Time would freeze as you stepped through the door, leaving your life frozen behind you and giving you unlimited guilt-free time to spend there. What would you fill it with? What views would it have out the window?
My room would be large and airy with a huge wall-length window at the far end, the view would overlook a cliff and the sea. Sunlight would fill the room through this window and the temperature would always be perfect, there would be an intelligent system that would blow cold air in …

1. The game I loved? Heads down thumbs up, we’d play it at the end of the school day. It was a really nice way to end the day and one of those sweet things you leave behind when you move up to secondary school.
2. The game I hated? Tag. It always seemed really pointless to me.
3. The games we made up as kids?
Obstacle Courses
We’d set a route through the park …

Alex is on back shift this week which means he’s here all day and then out from about 4pm-1am, I love these shifts for a few nights (and then I get lonely), I end up catching up on tv fluff such as X Factor and worse still the thing with Jordan Price or whatever she’s calling herself now and the one named after the hotels.
I’ve managed to produce a fairly edible soup, in fact it’s rather tasty, a carroty curry concoction with coconut milk, definitely on my ‘make …

I do. I wasted my evening going to the smirnoff launch party that wasn’t. Unless a block of melting ice in a public place is a launch party. My ‘networking’ consisted of pushing passed the chavs trying to extract bottles of ‘voddy’ from the ‘sculpture.
Apparently the sculpture looked lovely at 6am this morning.
This cheered me up, but don’t press play if you’re sensitive to swearing (it’s bleeped!)

It’s 11pm and my eyes are stinging, I started flagging at about 3pm. Wedding fairs (fayres?) are completely knackering. Today I accompanied my sister in law, mother in law, Aunty, and my sister in law’s mother in law to be….following me? My sister in law is getting married and this was her first (my second) wedding fair and we were out to gather some inspiration and ideas, we were treated to that, and a whole lot more
Our day started at 8.45am at waverley station, Edinburgh. …

Okay listen up people, you’ve got to go and see Up when it comes out, 3D or otherwise you won’t be disappointed. As far as these modern animated films go this is by far the best storyline I’ve seen so far, the 3D may add another dimension, literally, however this film stands up well enough without gimmicks.
In the first ten minutes, friendship, marriage, miscarriage and death had all been covered in a short montage, be ready for some difficult questions, much of it went over Erin’s head at three, …

I can’t bring myself to mention the ‘c’ phrase, which relates to money and the economy. We’re all suffering, even the rich folks are losing equity, shame. We have to find ways to cut the proverbial cloth, and if you don’t fancy partaking in Britain’s favourite thrifty pastime, a clothes swapping party is a fair alternative.
We held our own ‘swap party’ a couple of weeks ago. A few family members, a couple (read half dozen) bottles of cheap plonk, and some knock down party food from the …

There’s a lot of chitter chatter around the blogosphere about thanksgiving, giving thanks to family, friends, god etc…
Well I’ve caught the bug and I wanted to highlight a group of women who have been raising money for good causes in their local area for twelve years. The Baywood Belles is a good old-fashioned concert party based in Swansea, they entertain by singing, dancing and doing sketches at nursing homes as well as holding full blown concerts to raise money for their specially chosen good causes. Don’t …

Here’s our Santa Top Ten…
In at number one, we’ll be spinning around on these pink fifi roller skates. I love Fifi and the Flower Tots. It’s girly, fun and innocent. If this list were written in September number one would have been a duck, because every two year old needs an outlet for their stale bread.
Just off the top spot at number two is a doll’s car seat, what budding parent would be without one?
Down two at number three is a doctor’s set, best to keep your …
