Hugo Burnand has become Disneyland Paris’s first resident photographer. This appointment follows on from his recent appointment as Royal Wedding Photographer for HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton wedding.

Burnand will take up his first commission as Official Photographer in Residence at the resort in Paris from the 12th -15th August. He will capturing the magical moment for six families a day.

This appointment has come on the back of research carried out by the resort which showed that over 82% of UK families miss out on capturing the whole family at the resort as usually one member is taking the photo’s.

Any UK families holidaying at the resort on the week of 12th-15th August can apply to win by registering on Facebook. Winners will be notified by the 11th August.

The research also shows that over half of UK families do not have a single whole family photo from their last holiday.

Burnand said about his appointment: “For me, photographing a family is all? about creating and capturing a magical moment. A family?photograph is a point in time in the life of that family which?can be treasured forever. I am looking forward, through this commission with Disneyland Paris, to creating a unique series of?family portraits.”

Disney Magical Moments Festival is a special celebration created by Disneyland Paris so families and friends can live their best Disney moments as well as create life-long memories together! The festival features 14 special moments around the parks which showcase the very best of Disney stories and characters.

Very Lazy published a report called Kitchen Confessions which has lifted the lid on our cooking habits and it has revealed that 2.5 million women would pass off ready made food as their own.

British women are taking savvy shortcuts to save their very precious time in the kitchen including buying ready made pastry cases and filling with home made recipes or using ready made meringues for an Eton Mess.

With 70 per cent of us owning up to the fact that we cut corners when it comes to cooking, mainly due to the fact that women are busier than they have ever been, should we feel bad about this?

BBC commentator and professor of Psychology at Manchester University, Geoff Beattie: “Many women in 2011 are under huge pressure juggling their full time jobs with all of their family commitments. There never seem to be enough hours in the day to balance work and personal lives. Cutting corners in the?kitchen?is one?coping?mechanism that many people use to help their lives run a little bit smoother.”

Other cooking habits this report has found are, ?a?quarter?of women cook everything in one pan to save time, almost a fifth (19 per cent) use staple ingredients such as pre-chopped chili or garlic and one in ten women said that they left out ingredients from a recipe if they don’t have them in their cupboard.

The report also showed variations from region to region. Women in London take the most short cuts in the kitchen (76 per cent), whilst women in Northern Ireland and Wales are the tidest cooks (88 per cent). Scottish women are three times more likely than the average British woman to have recently cooked to impress their boss and ladies in Yorkshire and the North West are the most experimental cooks in the kitchen, using ingredients they have never used before (88 per cent).

But have we also developed a new breed of modern men or have they been stretching the truth when it comes to their antics in the kitchem?

From the same report, Kitchen Confessions, men claim to be more experiemental and adventurous in the kitchen. Here are some of the stats:

• 84% say they clean up as they cook
• 65% write shopping lists as opposed to 74% of women
• 88% like to try new ingredients
• 47% throw in ingredients to experiement
• But only 30% follow a recipe from a cookbook
• 43% claim to have recently impressed a partner with their culinary skills
• 10% also claim to have used these skills to impress their in laws

So do you?believe?them? Personally, my husband’s culinary skills extend to beans on toast!

We found an uber cool tapas bar

I reverted back to my waitressing days, or maybe I was still in ‘Business Erica’ mode. It wasn’t to last much longer..

The drinks started flowing. This is a strawberry and coconut daquiri, there were lots of other flavours too…

I sobered up, took a shower and tucked up in bed and then my phone rang. It was Tara , she demanded that I go down to the bar. I said no as I was in my pj’s in bed. She gave me the guilt trip and demanded I go down to the bar immediately. The first rule of being friends with Tara is, do what Tara says…the second rule….always do what Tara says.

So I ended up in the Travelodge bar in my tartan pyjamas. Tara kindly bought me a drink. I have to be discreet here (this is a family show) but let’s just say that a gaggle of drunk mummy bloggers weilding rubber phallic instruments don’t mix. Tia Maria was spilled, tears were shed…the tartan jammies got wet and @fenngirl muttered something about “wobbling it too hard”. So the night ended up with us all..

Drunk and hysterical in the Travelodge lift. As you can see @fenngirl and I had bonded after what has become known as ‘The Incident’. Those tears are laughter tears and not ones due to any sustained injuries.

I’ve been tagged in The Karaoke Song meme by Liz. She asks which song I’d sing if I was doing karaoke. I’ve only ever done karaoke once and I sang this. Oh the shame.

My taste in music has *cough* developed since then and whilst I’ll probably never do karaoke again I do have RockBand for Xbox and I have perfected this little number AND I can do the Lady Saw bit too. Yaaaa marn. You’re impressed aren’t you?
