A few years back I was invited to Port Aventura for Halloween. Throughout the theme park they put on a fantastic range of Halloween attractions with the highlight being the Halloween parade.
As Halloween draws near this year I was thinking about attractions here in Edinburgh, and we have a few that fit the bill perfectly.
1. Mary King’s Close
Take a trip beneath the cobbled streets of Edinburgh and discover the secret world that lies beneath. This tour isn’t scary as such but it has some pretty disturbing history. Well worth a visit.
2. Surgeons’ Hall Museum
Surgeons’ Hall is Scotland’s largest medical museum. The museum includes a range of medical and surgical exhibits and incorporates the history of the infamous Burke and Hare murderers. Visit the website here.
3. Ghost Bus Tour
Aboard the 1960′s Routemaster bus you will experience a theatrical sightseeing tour. Discover Edinburgh’s hidden secrets and dark past. Find out more here.
4. Edinburgh Dungeons
The Edinburgh Dungeons experience includes actor led shows, two underground rides, special effects and storytelling. More on the dungeons here.
5. Ghost Tours
These walking tours run day and night and leave from the Royal Mile. The tours take place above and below ground! More on ghost tours here.
