Well that’s school done for summer. Yesterday was the last day of term. Seven weeks of lolling around in pyjamas, playing out until late and family fun ahead of us.
A parcel awaited Erin’s arrival home yesterday, a big sloggy personalised hoodie courtesy of Gillyjam. It’s perfect for throwing on over a t-shirt and shorts as the weather gets milder in the evening. Erin was able to choose the colour and motifs for the top and her name runs along the bottom which she thinks is very cool (and it means she won’t lose it!).
I was also sent a gift, a lovely handmade brooch to put on a bag or cardigan. You can buy your own personalised hoodie or brooch plus lots of other lovely handmade things at gillyjam on Folksy.
With 49 days to fill I’ve already begun making some plans as to what we’ll do as we aren’t going abroad this year. First up is a foodie weekend with a Englishmum, then we have tickets to see Despicable Me 2 on monday. Later on in the month we’ll be heading to Southampton with the #RoyalMums to experience Independence of the Seas. At the beginning of August we’ll be visiting Falkirk to see what they have for families to do and later in the month I’m off to see an Elvis impersonator! We’ll also be doing lots of cooking and baking as well as a bit of decopatching and oil painting.
What do you have planned?
