After resigning myself to a day without internet (problems at the exchange), Erin and I decided to make some christmas biscuits. Without a recipe and no internet we had to phone Aunty Becky for an emergency recipe.
Basic Biscuit Recipe
150g plain flour
50g caster sugar
Soften the butter in the microwave for 10 seconds and then bring all the ingredients together with your hands. Get the kids to do this bit, just make sure they haven’t been picking their nose.
We used star cutters to shape our biccies and whacked them in the oven for 10-12 mins at 180 degrees.
Place the biscuits on a cooling rack.
Once cooled we decorated with lime icing (icing sugar + lime juice), dessicated coconut and a generous (!) dusting of icing sugar.
Place the ok looking ones on a plate and demolish the rest before anyone sees them.
