Collecting something is a big part of everyone’s childhood, I can remember collecting My Little Ponies and many different sticker collections and my brother collected Playmobil and tractors.
Times have changed and rather than simply collecting the latest figures from the current popular TV series, there are now more things to collect than ever before. From Moshi Monster’s to Dr Who Cards, and it’s not just simply collecting the toys or cards, you can then go online and play games and interact with other collectors.
Erica can remember her and her brother collecting Pogs, which seem to be making a comeback and Antonia’s family has numerous collections on the go including blue nosed teddies and stamps! Antonia recently wrote a post about her families hoarding collecting here.
Collecting is a sore subject in my house as my eldest has a tendency to start collecting one thing and before he has finished he moves on to another collection! Luckily my younger two are yet to have been bitten by the bug but I am sure it is just around the corner, although they have had a few of the Lego and Playmobil Fi?ures , which I’m sure if I let them they would quite happily keep on collecting them!
