5 Things To Do Indoors in the Summer Holidays

It’s been wet here, very wet. We’re just over three weeks into the summer holidays. Here’s what we’ve been up to;

1. Playing Bananagrams

I was given this set at BritMums Live, my friend’s friend is the inventor which is pretty cool. Great game for all the family!

2. Playing cards

I play a lot of cards, for fun and for money. My grandparents taught me a lot of games and I can play anything from kaluki to cribbage to poker. I’ve started by teaching Erin snap and pairs, I think we’ll progress to rummy soon.

3. Go to the arcade

Another rainy day activity. I think all kids love the arcade, don’t they? In Edinburgh you can find arcades at Portobello or inside the bowling at Fountain Park.

4. Have lunch together

It makes a really nice change to have lunch together during the summer holidays. Even better if you can get the little ones to help prepare it.

5. Indoor picnic

When the weather is rubbish, don’t cancel your picnic just move it indoors. Put a blanket on the floor and tuck in.
