Peebles with Kids

Peebles with kids
A couple of weekends back during the good weather we headed to Peebles, just south of Edinburgh. It’s a beautiful village, well worth a visit – there are a couple of nice hotels there – try Barony Castle or Peebles Hydro, I’ve stayed at both.

So what to do when you get there… first head down to the river for a walk.

It’s a great place to walk a dog if you have one, and the view back at the village is lovely.

Scotland for kids

On the far side of the river is a great play park for children. We had Erin and her friend with us and they played happily until we promised them sweets (there are a couple of fab sweet shops).

Once you’re finished at the river walk back up and have a look at all the craft and trinket shops.

Then treat yourself and the kids to clotted cream scones and jam. Everyone’s happy!
