I figure if you can name a car then you can definitely name a laptop. I’ve just bought a new laptop for work. I used to get excited about buying trainers but a new laptop definitely gives me the same buzz nowadays. The newest addition to my family, ahem..is Josh. Josh is a Dell XPS 15 with 4GB of memory, 2GB graphic card and an i5 processor. He’s young, sleek and very very fast.

Christmas is approaching and we’ve been reviewing some toys and gifts suitable for a five year old.
I’ve done this same post for the last few years; gift ideas for a one year old, gift ideas for a two year old and gift ideas for a four year old. We obviously didn’t bother about gifts when Erin was three
So far this year we’ve reviewed;

Erin’s been after us taking her camping for a while and with the summer drawing to a close I fancied getting away for another weekend myself.
We decided on ‘glamping’ and since we wanted to take Daisy (the dog) we chose a wig wam on Loch Tay. These little wooden cabins come with heating, a fridge, microwave and kettle and are the perfect compromise between full on camping (which I’ve done plenty of as a cadet and TA soldier) and staying in a cabin. Erin definitely still felt the …

This week is officially Cupcake week and in honour of this event I wanted to share with you this wonderful, foolproof cupcake recipe. I love to bake when I have time and cupcakes are one of the easiest cakes to make.

We’ve all been there. Long car journey with the kids in the back, bored out of their little minds while nagging you to death. My solution for Erin was a portable DVD player. She loves movies and that would keep her busy for hours. The problem with that however was carrying the equivalent of a DVD rental store around in a bag and the constant swapping DVD?s over and loss of the DVD?s down the back of the car seat.
Surely there’s an easier way?
Well, as you?d expect there …

So last time I picked out stuff from the Joe Browns catalogue that there’s no way I’d be wearing this Autumn. Here are a few bits that did catch my eye though.
I love this jacket, no idea if it would suit me but I love it.
Embroidered snood. The name’s a bit weird but I like it.
‘Irresistible top’ – I’m seriously tempted.
Ok, and I must definitely be getting old because I want these pyjamas so much!
