Carol and I at Giraffe. I was drinking what I believed to be a Mango and Lime Daquiri, turns out it was a non alcholic mango and lime daquiri! I have my suspicions that Antonia may have had a word in the barman’s ear when she heard what a lightweight I was
Antonia and I at Giraffe. I’m sporting the ‘sun kissed’ look and am definitely not flushed with alcohol (see above)
Me taking Carol by surprise jumping on her on the London Eye.

Well Cybermummy 2011 is just around the corner and if you are like me you are probably wondering what to wear and what everyone else will be wearing. I still have absolutely no idea. This is the first of these kind of events I have attended.
One thing I can help with is beauty tips for preparing for such an event. I suspect most of you attending will be stopping in London the night before and will therefore have some much needed ‘me time’.
So you will probably have time for a …

If you know me at all, you know one of my hobbies is making money! I’m not a greedy person and I’m not particularly materialistic. It’s a challenge thing, a bit like when you try and beat your own score at scrabble or something. You do that too, right?

I had a great opportunity on Tuesday evening to attend the PR screening of Born to be Wild 3D at the BFI IMAX London, courtesy of www.littlemummy.com.
For those of you who haven?t heard about or seen it yet, this film documents the story of orphaned orang-utans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them. Toy Reviews »
I was kindly asked to do a toy review by WoodenToyShop.co.uk.
This site has some wonderful wooden toys on it, my daughter loves the wooden food!
We where lucky enough to choose one item off of the site to review and I can tell you it was a very hard decision. In fact the only thing that really swung it was that my husband had recently ran over my little man’s balance bike and we where about to replace it when we saw that these where on this site.
We chose the …

I’ve been tagged in The Karaoke Song meme by Liz. She asks which song I’d sing if I was doing karaoke. I’ve only ever done karaoke once and I sang this. Oh the shame.
My taste in music has *cough* developed since then and whilst I’ll probably never do karaoke again I do have RockBand for Xbox and I have perfected this little number AND I can do the Lady Saw bit too. Yaaaa marn. You’re impressed aren’t you?
So tell me, Helen, Tara, Jay, Crystal Jigsaw …

When I was a stay at home parent for five years having the use of an overdraft was really handy to bridge the gap instead of getting a loan.
If I’d got a loan every time I needed a little extra cash I could have ended up with a big chunk of debt to pay back but using an overdraft instead there’s more a sense of urgency to pay it back and so you end up being more focused, which obviously leads to less long term debt. A good thing!
