Erin spotted this Saami baby at the reindeer camp. Saami people are the indigenous people of northern Finland, and this baby is wearing their traditional dress and hat. Erin fell in love with her immediately, the exchange rate is not kind and she cost me nearly ?12 but you can’t put a price on love can you.

On the ‘search for santa’ day of our trip to Lapland we were transported deep into the forest by coach. We arrived at a sort of ‘base camp’ area which had a large wooden cabin with hot drinks, biscuits and the equipment for the day.
Whilst I tried my hand at snowmobiling, Erin was pulled along in a sleigh along with the other children by a guide who was able to go faster than 2mph (!)

On our second day in Lapland after huskie sledding we had some lunch before being transported to a local hotel for some Christmas arts and crafts. Erin loves arts and crafts so thoroughly enjoyed creating a party hat and a Christmas card (which she later gave to Father Christmas).
