September’s been really busy and I feel like I haven’t written much about what’s been going on so this is what’s been happening;
Uni
A few people have emailed me to ask how Uni is going which made me realise I haven’t really done an update since my picture blog. So Uni’s going great my subjects until christmas are ‘Exploring Entrepreneurship’, ‘Intercultural and Organisational Management’ and ‘Marketing’. All three involve doing a presentation as part of the assessment, which isn’t really something I’ve done before so that should be interesting. …

Charity is not something I focus on a lot right now. At the moment most of my effort is plowed towards looking after my own child and my own family. I think that’s ok. I think there will come a time when I’m in a place where I’ll be able to do ‘my bit’ and I definitely plan to do my fair share, or more if I can.
For example I have goals to give ?1000 out of my own pocket to a charity close to my heart, …

I was approached by a PR company this week to feature a new video about vitamins and Haliborange. It brought back childhood memories of vitamins.
The story takes place in Cardiff. It was the Summer of 1990 and we lived in this really cool bungalow that had a ‘secret garden’ and I had a wash basin in my room, I thought I was the coolest girl in the world (none of this has anything to do with the actual story by the way). One sunny afternoon my brother …

I’m afraid this was a mixed box of goodies and I’m going to have to be brutally honest in places. Brace yourself…
We’ll go from cheapest to most expensive..
At ?7.99 (according to my infor sheey they’re ?7.99 but they seem to be ?8.99 on the Toys R Us website) it’s Disney Fairies Magic Glow Fairies
I’d class this toy in the ‘pocket money’ type section, however I feel it’a a bit overpriced and a bit pointless really. It’s not really seen the light of day since it’s first outing so …

It’s been a while since I had a giveaway. So let’s do this!
Matalan have a great range of Back to School clothes in tons of different styles. I know we’re all back to school now and everyone’s already done their uniform shopping but if there’s one thing I’ve learned as the newbie school mum this year it’s that you can never have enough, and stockpiling is wholly recommended
So who wants (needs) an extra ?50 worth of schoolwear from Matalan? That’s right I have ?50 of …

So, Erin has the chicken pox. It came on on this morning and I had no choice but to bundle her in the car and head for the three C’s – Chemist, Calamine lotion and Calpol.
She was in her pyjamas and slippers and it was absolutely teeming down, my plan was to park right outside the chemist, lock the car doors and run in and still be able to keep an eye on her (I haven’t left her in the car on her own before).
However, like all the best …

What an embarrassment of riches we have in this country.
I started University this week, as I walked up to the campus on my first day for the first time in a long time I felt truly privileged. Not only do I have access to a top class education, but here in Scotland my first degree is free. It’s easy to forget when you live in a country that has clean water, a plentiful supply of food, access to free at the point of service healthcare, education and higher …

So a couple of months back I went on a ‘shoot’ for a feature in Tesco magazine. Well this was the result….
I’m rather pleased with it. Liz Jarvis pet detective (don’t ask) did a good job with the words, however she won’t reveal how much airbrushing went on with the pictures so I’ll assume that it was little more than teeth whitening and not a shaving off of half a stone as I secretly suspect.
My daughter Erin was impressed too. She clutched the magazine close to her …
