Chuggington Interactive Railway 100/10!

So we’ve had our first shipment from Toys R Us. We’re officially toyologists!

In the first large box was a Chuggington Interactive Railway. As I browsed the price sheet and saw that it retails for ?49.99 I was quite surprised, seemed kind of expensive although the train set has some clever audio features (‘smart talk technology’) whereby the trains speak to each other. Extra trains are ?9.99 each and there are a few other ‘add ons’ too. The set includes a crane, bridge and roundhouse so there’s no need to buy anything extra to start. The box also includes a huge pack of batteries which was very welcome!

I love the trains, they’re so good.

She was busy playing so couldn’t get much out of her!

Wheee

It’s had a lot of playtime though, several hours over the first week which has dropped off slightly now.

When asked how much out of ten she said she’d give it she said 100! Hopefully now she’s started school she can sort out her ropey maths :)

A great toy that I think’s got a bit of longevity in it.

    hi!
I found your blog by doing a search for the chuggington interactive trains. We just received a huge box for “Testing” from Learning Curve, and it looks like the same stuff you have. My son is 4 and he likes them so far, but he wants me to build all different kinds of layouts with the track for him. I was wondering what you thought of this track overall and if you have any other layouts done yet. Thanks!

    Hi April

My husband took care of building the track, in fact I didn’t even know there was more than one layout! We have one that goes quite high and then into a spiral.

The track we have is pretty good and has provided my daughter (also 4!) with plenty of play scenarios.

my daughter has just been brought this for her 2nd bday, she loves it, however i am very disappointed with it. i find the track very flimsy and that the bridge supports dont clip in properly so she keeps knocking them flying. is it just us?? its as if they havent added enough supports for it, it needs one more, im now googling to see if they sell any extra.

We had the same problem, there are several ways to build the track so it might be a case of trying one of the other tracks. My husband changed it round a few times before we got one that worked. But, yes, a few extra supports would be ideal.

oh i will try and change it round and see if we have anymore luck, we just done it the way it is on the box. thanks x

    Hi Katrina,

You need to contact the company for scanned instructions.

    Thanks
