Just came to your post through Tara’s. Glad you have a good relationship with your dad now and that you have fond childhood memories regardless – your mum sounds lovely. Great comment ‘my mum did her best and her best was good enough’ – that sums it up for me, it’s all we can really do for our children I think, aim high and try to do our best for them. Helen
