The temptation when faced with the theme ’7 Deadly Sins’ is to find a photo for each of the sins, however I’m resisting the urge and focusing on Gluttony.
I took this photo in a sweet shop in St Andrews on my iPhone. I love the colours. It makes me want to buy several large bags of sweeties.

Ohhh, I love those old fashioned sweet shops. Doesn’t that picture take you back? x
I’ll have one of those and one of those and one of those…mmmmm. I love gluttony!
Karin
It was amazing Caroline, they had the old fashioned penny mixtures too where you choose your sweets and put them in a little basket for counting.
How funny that most people have gone for Gluttony! I do miss a good old fashioned sweetshop.
Sian – We’re going back to St Andrews next week, mostly so we can get more sweets
Great Photo!
And I agree – can’t resist the call of a proper old fashioned sweet shop
But what did you buy, what did you buy? And what the heck are ‘horse cakes’!
Oooooh lovely. Such a fab pic. It reminds me of the Victorian Sweet Shop at Blists Hill Museum in Ironbridge. It was so lovely. I’m with Tara. What did you buy? I’d have had to try the Chocolate Puff Candy. And I’ve just realised I owe you a foody meme. Food is a pit pants for me right now but I’ll get there in the end.
now I have to go and buy some lemon sherberts. and maybe some jelly babies. and maybe some cola cubes…
DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?!
great picture btw
Reminds me of the shop next door to my Grandma’s when I was a little girl
Great photo! Mmmmm aniseed balls!
Several bags? I’d wanna buy out most of the store…they look SO tempting!! That’s a great snap, love it (what did you choose in the end??)
Looks like my fantasy of how my pantry should look…great photo – love the colors
mmmm I love those sweet shops, always end up coming out with a big bag of yummy stuff!
Is this really in a sweet shop and not in your pantry? LOL
Just by looking at the photo I can taste some of those sweets.
Tara – Erin and I had ‘penny’ mixtures, I got a packet of atomic bombs (remember those?), and Alex got some rhubarb rock.
veryanniemary – I love the colours too, it was like being in Will Wonka’s shop
There’s one of these in Fleetwood. we always pop in for a fix!
Oooh, St Andrews! That’s where I went to uni. They didn’t have this sweetshop then – I would have eaten it all if they had. Lovely pic.
