My Fantasy Three Course Meal Meme

2 April 2010 7 Comments

I love food. I love eating it, I love cooking it, I even love taking photos of it. So here’s my fantasy three course meal with accompanying drinks. This is also a meme so don’t forget to check if you’ve been tagged!

My pre dinner drink would be a Green Monkey cocktail which is vodka, midori, triple sec and tonic water. It’s a drink I discovered when I worked at a country club and is lovely, my second favourite cocktail in the world, read on to find out what my number one fave is :)

For starter I would have Jamie Oliver’s Candied Bacon Salad from his Jamie’s America book, it’s fairly light and would leave plenty of space for my main course.

My main course would be the New York Striploin from The Flying Fish Cafe at Disneyworld. It’s the best steak I’ve ever eaten, and also the largest (coincidentally with the largest steak knife).

To accompany my main course I’d have a Strawberry Daquiri, there’s no doubt that the American’s do these the best – strong and sweet!

My desert would be Creme Brullee specifically the one I had in Peebles Hydro. I like my creme brullee to still be runny beneath the crispy sugar top and theirs was perfect!

To accompany my desert I’d have a Tia Maria with ice.

Then of course a large glass of Baileys with lots of ice and after dinner mints, oh and maybe an Ultimate Mudslide from TGI Friday’s.

Of course after all that alcohol I would be completely legless (!) because you know I don’t really drink.

Now I tag Sticky Fingers Tara , English Mum, Liz @Livingwithkids and TheMadHouse and @andy69 (via @LauraAWNTYM’s blog) to share their fantasy three course meal with drinks

I LIKE IT! What a fabulous meme. And I totally agree with your choices (of course inserting the mojito in place of the daiquiri). And that was a bloody huge knife, wasn’t it.

Looking forward to reading yours, and yes, it was the biggest steak knife in the world.

What a lovely idea but so difficult to do! I’d be likely to put things together that would fill me so full I’d need some ‘getting up’ assistance!

Yours sounds yummy, I will put my thinking cap on. I too love my food, as my belly is evidence of!

JFB57 – That little lot would take me a while to get through, it would definitely be an all evening meal :)
