So since this is supposed to be a ‘mummy blog’ I suppose I should mention something to do with Erin or parenting, it’s been a while (I wrote this sentence before I decided to post about St Andrews on Monday and now I can’t be bothered to think of a new intro, sorry)
So in January we had to decide whether to apply for primary school or defer for a year until she’s five, she’d basically do another year of afternoons at nursery. After about five minutes deliberation …

Get yourself comfortable this may be a long one with lots of photos!
I’ve had a lovely day today out with the family. I’ve been meaning to visit St Andrews since forever and today we finally got round to doing it. We drove up early this morning and got to St Andrews at about half ten. We parked up and walked to the shoreline where we saw the famous golf course.
We crossed right across the golf course (there’s a public footpath, just mind the golf balls!) and …

This is a guest post by my fabulous new employee blog partner BigDaddy
Having recently received a Blu-Ray player I was keen to see what all the fuss was about. As Erin was around I chose Monsters Inc. which was sent to us buy Disney a few months ago. I don?t think she would have enjoyed The Matrix!
In my opinion this is Disney/Pixar?s finest hour. It broke new ground in animation, (it was the first to make fur believable). It takes the universal theme of Monsters hiding in your cupboard when …

Ages ago I was sent a huge pile of lovely Green and Black’s chocolate, I was going to wait until I’d eaten the whole lot before writing my post but I still have two whole bars left. No, I can’t believe how restrained I’ve been either!
Here’s what I thought of some of the flavours;
Dark 70% – Initial flavour is deep and bitter but by using the tasting techniques provided by Green and Blacks I actually experienced a new tangy almost fruity flavour.
White – I absolutely love the white chocolate, …

Last year I went on a VIP bloggers trip to Disneyworld, Florida. Here are the top tips for parents I picked up during the trip. Feel free to add your own in the comments….
Get Organised
1. Buy tickets in advance, it saves queuing when you get there, same applies for character breakfasts, which may sell out if you don’t book early.
2. Go with an itenerary, it will be invaluable, however basic.
3. Measure your child’s height before you go, that way you’ll know exactly which rides they …

I’ve spoken briefly on this topic before but I’ve been thinking about it again since reading notSupermum’s post Can Children Be Born Evil (I agree with her thinking on the matter).
The age of criminal responsibility is ten in England and Wales, and eight in Scotland with plans to raise that to twelve to bring us into line with Europe.
I think there’s a belief that by raising the age is ‘going soft’ on serious crime, and that some younger members of society deserve the punishment. I believe that at ten …

Just a quick post to let you know that my new blog Littlemumpreneur is live!
Please pop over and say hi, I’m feeling a bit lonely over there. It’s not all singing and dancing as yet, which you’ll see if you try and click into the about page, and as yet there’s no contact page at all, so I’m in for a busy weekend!
If you’d like to do a guest post for Littlemumpreneur please email me via my contact page (on littlemummy.com). I’m particularly looking for guest posts on …

I think the title sufficiently explains what I’m posting about today
Yes, I’m in \the process of building a new blog that will be launched very soon. Littlemummy.com will remain, and you’ll only notice two minor changes. Firstly there will be no posts on the topic of blogging and secondly the posting frequency will drop to around three posts a week. I currently write and publish five posts a week, I will still be writing and publishing five posts a week except the posts will be …
