VERY Good Value

I’m so sorry, I just couldn’t help doing a really cheesy title.
You may not have noticed but christmas is coming. oh right you did notice, oh well… Us web savvy mums know the benefits of shopping online so I know I don’t need to sell that to you so I’ll just let you know about a new online department store – Very (now you get my dodgy headline)
Very sells everything you’d expect from its more well known rivals, including toys. We’re all buying toys at this time of year.
Very are offering littlemummy readers a £10 money off voucher, you can claim your voucher when you open a credit account and spend £20 or more. Just enter the code ZG252 at check out.
My picks from Very;

For Erin – The Baby Annabell Doll that babbles and gurgles, no doubt she’ll end up being renamed ‘The Baby Jesus’, every soft toy and doll at chez littlemummy is ‘The Baby Jesus’. Erin was even carrying ‘The Baby Jesus’ last week, miracles don’t just happen in Bethlehem people.

For The Husband – A pair of these uber cool Nike 90’s because if I have to be forced to look at another pair this week I may have to do The Look, if you don’t know about The Look see Tara @Sticky Fingers or Laura @Are We Nearly There Yet Mummy

For Me Me Me – This Samsung MP4 player and if Father Christmas has the space perhaps he could pop in a pair of those old-fahioned headphones, you know, the ones that look like ear muffs.
So there’s my top picks, enjoy your free tenner.
This has been a sponsored post. What? I’m a poor student nowadays gimme a break
I'm a 27 year old mum to 4 year old Erin. We live just outside Edinburgh in a small village. I've been blogging for four years and write about anything and everything that takes my fancy.

I think Very is the new name for Littlewoods Direct. I’ve shopped with them in the past and have had no problems at all. I’d happily recommend them.
Thanks Rosie, I had no idea.
Yup – they were Littlewoods, except when they were Littlewoods they had a decent printed catalogue – now it’s a downmarket, loads of items to a page on a white background, cheap paper pile of rubbish I chuck unopened in the recycling bin along with the Yellow Pages.
I’d been a Littlewoods customer for 19 years but ditched them like a hot thing grown underground after this appalling re-brand. To be honest, in those 19 years I only ever used them as an absolute last resort as their ability to commit to stock levels (if I had a POUND for every “In Stock” item I ordered over the phone at the exact moment it was deemed “In Stock” and never received!)… and their interest rates are absolutely criminal.
Not that I have a strong opinion either way… (they stink).
… and their prices are so much higher than… well anyone you care to mention. There are only two reasons for using Very, you can’t find an item ANYWHERE else (it’s July and you have been refused all offers to sell your firstborn in return for that 15ft trampoline), or you cannot afford to pay up front for your purchases and are therefore crippled into debt by the double whammy of high prices and high interest.
They’re leeches either way.
Fair enough Mrs W, thanks for the warning. I didn’t use Littlewoods and don’t buy from catalogues, well actually I don’t buy much, I’m a bit of a scrooge
Oooh, thank you Erica! Lovely xmas pressie, I’ll go and have a look x
Btw, saw some sweatshirts with Bert on when shopping yesterday, think it was H&M, in case Santa is stuck for ideas ….didn’t see Ernie, maybe he had sold out …
See, now if it had been Ernie I’d have been all over it.
