I remember a similar feeling - being wheeled from the delivery room, ill and wobbly, to the ward with my precious bundle held tight in my arms, beaming at everyone that I passed even though I felt so poorly! And I can understand your feelings fully. I had some complications when my daughter was born and although she was born premature, she's as helathy as an ox and almost as tall as me now.
