Disney Video: The Beach Club Resort
Can’t believe I’m only writing about arriving and already I’m on my final day, didn’t have chance to do as much blogging as I’d hoped but we did see a lot more of Disneyworld which was the whole point, I’ll probably spread my posts over the next few weeks, until I’m back again, roll on June 18th.
Anyway we arrived at Orlando airport and proceeded to the dreaded check-in, last time I was here I was only seventeen and got a proper grilling from a surly man who must have been over six foot, well they don’t call me littlemummy for no reason, as you can imagine it was pretty intimidating. Completely different experience this time, I was pushed forward to go first by my fellow travellers (seasoned travellers, I might add) a young lady took my documents and asked about my business here in Orlando. I told her I was here for pleasure, after much digging on her part she found out that there were seven of us on a blogging trip to review Walt Disneyworld, she seemed very impressed and I stood being quizzed for about ten minutes on this strange thing I do, oh well, it’s better than being interrogated and asked if I’d been abducted by my boyfriend.
Orlando airport’s like a maze, in our frazzled state it took us a while to negotiate the escalators but we finally found our meeting point, and….there was no one there. My mind began to race, all those jokes about human trafficking came flooding back, oh dear, what have I done, am I destined for a life living at Orlando airport? Like Tom Hanks in Terminal.
Sarah our rep (that makes her sound a bit average, she’s actually Head of PR for UK for Disneyworld Florida and Paris, and a few other things which I can’t remember) met us and loaded us into a van, I might have panicked again here but she seemed nice enough and she has an upper class English accent, she surely doesn’t have a group of heroin addicts lurking around the corner ready to whisk me away to the nearest brothel. No, there are definitely signs for Disneyworld and I’m beginning to recognise things, maybe this magical trip is for real. Awesome! (ahem, well I have been in America for five days!)
We arrive at The Beach Club Resort which is a deluxe resort, that’s five star to you and I. I made this short video to give you an idea of what the rooms are like, I’m slightly hungover so kind of wishing I hadn’t done the running commentary, I hate my voice on these things, oh well, I’ll know for next time…
The Beach Club is located near the boardwalk area, if money were no issue I would definitely stay here again, out of the deluxe resorts I have seen during my stay (Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, Contemporary) I would definitely choose to come back here. It isn’t overly ‘Disney’ and it has a lovely airy holiday feel, the Grand Floridian was even more beautiful but could become a bit pretentious, although if I was getting married a honeymoon there would be amazing (photos of glass carriages coming).
I'm a 27 year old mum to 4 year old Erin. We live just outside Edinburgh in a small rural village.
I've been blogging for four years and write about anything and everything that takes my fancy.

Nice camerawork babe, gritty, realistic hand held!, Like the start of Saving Private Ryan
. Couldn’t hear anything tho?
Probably just as well I was doing ridiculous commentary ack.
I heard every beautiful word! Nice job, littlemummy! Hey, it’s raining and cold back here on Exmoor…..all that heat seems a long time ago.
Haha, I guess that’s one embarassing video each!
Finally got video to play, very nostalgic as room was exactly like mine. Great job! Got email from Sarah saying she was missing her ducklings, awww!
I’ve played this seventeen times today just to hear your voice and pretend I’m still there.
Great jawb.
