I Love Blurb
Before Christmas Blurb sent me complementary vouchers to produce my own book. (I will be giving away three lots of complementary vouchers soon, sign up to my newsletter to be entered automatically, or return here soon for further details).
Blurb enables you to create a beautiful and professional looking book at a very reasonable price. A childrens fairytale, a cookbook with favourite family recipes, a full blown fictional novel or your personal memoirs, Blurb makes it all possible.
I chose to produce a photobook. I have no less than 432 photos in my flickr account that were begging to be collated into a book.
Blurb is easy to use. You download software and begin to create. Choosing from ready made templates you simply input the words and upload the photos arranging and rearranging as your heart desires. I spent about 3-4 hours over a couple of days producing my book (I could have spent much longer).
As the title suggests I was very pleased with the end product, if I’d have spent more time I could have done a better job but the quality of the finish was impressive and the delivery was timely considering it was coming from America.
Erin is so proud of it, she shows everyone who comes to the house and family members have suggested that a copy wouldn’t be an unwelcome gift. Blurb makes it easy to purchase multiple copies and even offers discount. If you produce a novel or recipe book you can sell this this via Blurb and make yourself some money.
Overall it has been one of the best freebies I’ve received through this blog and I’m pleased to say that I have three voucher prizes to giveaway, I’ll do the post over the next few days, hopefully with a short video clip of my book.

I love those picture books, I’ve switched over to using them entirely rather than keeping scrapbooks.
Yeah, I used to scrapbook but it’s sooo time consuming, nice hobby, but blogging kinda took over. I’m using flickr/blogging/blurb to fill the gap.
[...] you read my review of Blurb? I loved producing my own book with Blurb, definitely one of the best freebies I’ve [...]
I just finished doing my wedding album. I’ve heard such great things about the quality and even with the conversion rate it is cheaper for me to buy from blurb than go with an australian book making site. Next I will start to do one for my bub. Make a huge one with 5yrs worth of photos. I can’t wait!!!
