The final part (or is it…)
10. Donations
I’ve never tried taking donations myself, but I know plenty of blogs that do. It’s pretty simple to implement, simply head over to paypal and grab one of their donation buttons. A reader can then click the button and transfer a ‘donation’ from their paypal account to yours.
Blogs with a close community or cult-like following will do best with donations.

1I’ve heard of a ‘Tip Me’ button too. Not sure where though.

4I’ll second that Little Mummy. I’ve implemented a few of your ideas on my blog and I’ve already had some success. Many thanks!

6You’re right. Only bloggers with a cult following can benefit from a Donation tab, and even then, I am a little skeptical about how much income it could generate. I am actually a fan of some of the top bloggers, and I’ve never donated to them!

7I’ve certainly never heard anyone release big donation figures…
