Tip 1 from yesterday was to join text link ads, today we’re going it alone…
2. Sponsors Page & Automatic Sponsorship System
This tip was learned from Yaro at Entrepreneur’s Journey. Create a new page (not a new post) and provide your blog’s stats - see my page.
Decide on a few advertisement options, ie text links, banners, reviews, offer sizes and word count details. Decide on a price, perhaps $25 for a monthly text link and $40 for a banner? Don’t ponder price too much you can always adjust it to suit demand later.
Finally, and this is the key, set up an automated system so the buyer can make a purchase immediately. This is as easy as getting yourself a paypal account and following the instructions for installing an automated payment button.
I’ve had a small amount of success with this system, a few people have bought direct, but unlike with text link ads I get to keep the full amount, so monetarily it’s worthwhile, plus once you have set the initial system up it doesn’t involve much work.
I believe that my success levels would be higher if my pageviews were more substantial. If you have high pageview stats and a lot of visitors via search results this method could be very successful for you. Good Luck
If you need more details on how to set up this system, please ask away.

1Hi Littlemummy, I’m impressed with the way your tips although I don’t think I can do it on my site as it is Wordpress (the free version). Are you going to add these tips to your BPB site too?

2I’m not sure what the rules are when it comes to free wordpress blogs. You can use adsense and I have seen other forms of ads on blogger too. Probably best to read the small print first.
I haven’t invested much time into BPB and therefore the readership and page rank aren’t high enough to consider any form of advertising at the moment.

9I love the stats page- is it automatically updated, or do you have to update it yourself? What do you think about including testimonials on your stats page? Thanks for giving these tips, you are my new blogging hero.

10Wow, don’t think I’ve ever been anyone’s blogging hero.
I update that page manually every couple of months. Testimonials are a great idea if you have them, it will give you credibility.
