Just a quick note to say that I’ve done a guest post on Scribbit should anyone like to have a read, and add to my limited Burns knowledge!
Also, welcome to any of Scribbit’s readers that have clicked through, feel free to have a root around, as you can see I’m in the middle of a ten part series on blogging income at the moment but you should be able to find something of interest by clicking on a different category – if blogging income isn’t your thing!
It’s been a hectic week with a ton of socialising! Last night I went to see PS I Love You, I didn’t know what it was about, just that it was a romantic comedy (or so I thought…). Turns out that I knew exactly what it was about because I read the book a few years back. As it suddenly dawned on me, so the tears began to flow. You see, for whatever reason, the book really grabbed me and I would end my evenings with a couple of chapters and a good cry.
The film version stars Hilary Swank in the leading role. The story goes (briefly, before I cry again) that her childhood sweetheart husband dies of a brain tumor. However before he dies he writes a series of letters and plans a few surprises to help her get over his death and move on with her life. There were apparently some funny moments, but I didn’t notice them, I was too busy crying…and…crying….and crying. Not just a few tears, oh no, I was choking back the wails. I don’t cry easily at films, in fact, the only time I remember shedding a tear or two was at The Green Mile.
Nevertheless it was well worth seeing, especially as it took a couple of extra large strawberry daquiris to get over the experience!!
