Mine loves blueberries, strawberries, canteloup, honeydew and watermelons cubed up. I tgry to do the colors of the rainbow thing daily!! raisins are good. Be careful to look at dried fruit ingredients. Some have sulfates and a lot of fructose, not good. I found a dried berry mix w/cranberries,raspberries,blueberries and cherries without all that stuff at a store called Publix. Welches has a good cherry and cranberry without all the bad stuff too. She'll eat 2 cups of fruit a day....it's the green veggies that I can't get in her. Any suggestions for veggies???

1. Banana's
2. Grapes (chuck them in the freezer during summer - trust me)
3. Watermelon - preperation required, but a HUGE hit
4. Sultana's - good for fine motor skills also
5. Tinned pineapple - easier to prepare!

"Dried dates ... are they not really high in iron?" ... hmm, I'm not sure. I've not got any in at the moment as they're a bit pricier than the prunes, raisans, and apricots we keep in permanent stock as snacks ...

... my mum has just deposited a HUGE quantity of black currants, red currants and rhubarb in my freezer so guess who's making crumble and jam :D

Erica, you must know you've done a good job if Erin prefers strawbs and grapes to chocolate! The Bean's favourite are bananas, apple and strawberries. She too often survives on the bread-and-fruit diet of which one hears so little in childcare books. :)

dried carnberries - they are sweetened so only get half marks for health benefits but are a favourite here.

Bananas - obviously hours of play value in being squidged through small fingers but they usually lick up the mess after ;-)
