But my daughter went through a phase shortly afterwards of refusing to eat anything she couldn't put in her mouth herself. So I had to give up on Weetabix for breakfast (she couldn't manage a spoon well enough) and give her little squares of toast with cream cheese, and chunks of fruit. I guess she was telling me she didn't want sludge any more. I did the puree thing with both my children from about 4 months, combined with breastfeeding.
