Fifteen Things That Remind Me of Childhood
This idea was started here.
Here’s mine;
1. My Talking Computer
This was VERY 80′s and I loved to practise my spelling on it (yes, I was that sad).
2. Getting Lost
This was a game my Mum used to play in the good old days, when you could get a tank of petrol for a fiver. We would jump in the car and my brother and I would take turns of choosing left or right until we were lost and mum had to find her way home!
3. Care Bears
Yup cute liddle’ cuddly bears, a bit of a departure from today’s ‘Bratz’ dolls.
4. Obstacle Courses
My brother and I would choose a route through the park that would invariably involve vaulting swings, jumping off climbing frames and running up slides, we would time each other to see who could go fastest, or pretend we were on Krypton Factor!!
5. Picnic Teas
Buffet style teas on a Saturday or Sunday evening.
6. Traffic Jams
Playing traffic jams (?) on my brother’s car mat.
7. One-handed Boxing
One boxing glove each!
8. Shellsuits and Hideous Suede Waistcoats
Yes, I wore both….It was the 80′s…oh the shame…
9. Pogs
Cardboard discs that were collectable, a bit like today’s Pokemon (pah)
10. Kiln Park, Tenby
A caravan park where we would holiday regularly.
11. Acrobatics
I belonged to a group, we used to do competitions and festivals, it was a lot of fun. There is a little gymnastics class that Erin will be old enough for in the summer, I think I’ll take her along and see what she thinks.
12. Diaries with Locks
Now it’s all chip an pin security to keep your secrets, secret. In my day we made do with a lock and key!
13. Rainbow
The kids tv programme, you know, Zippy, Bungle and George. I still have a dvd, Erin loves it!
14. Gladiators
Another tv programme that was very popular when I was at school. We would sometimes recreate the challenges.
15. Football
I loved football, my brother and I could play ‘heads and volleys’ or ‘wallsy’ for hours.
If you are reading this consider yourself tagged, even though I don’t think it’s a meme?!

I've been blogging for four years and write about anything and everything that takes my fancy.
Above is me with my beloved Ernie in Port Aventura and left with our love child in Florida.
