Starting with the easiest, here are some turn taking game suggestions;

Roll the Ball

Take turns roling the ball back and forth.

Catch

Once you’ve mastered ‘roll the ball’ try gently throwing the ball.

Snap

Take turns to lay a card until a match appears and someone shouts “snap”

Hide and Seek

Take turns to hide while the other one ’seeks’.

Pairs

Shuffle cards and place face down, take turns to reveal two cards at a time. Try and make a pair, if you get lucky, take another turn.

Four uses for a sterilizing bowl when sterilizing days are well behind you (they will come!).

1. A Drum

Provide wooden spoons or some other drumming implement (provide yourself with earplugs) and off they go.

2. Water Bowl

Use as a large basin for water play.

3. Mini Sandpit

Fill the sterilizer bowl with sand. Provide spoons too dig and a fork as a rake. You could bury some gold coins (leftover from christmas??) as treasure!

4. A Mixing Bowl

Make homemade play dough or cakes, using the sterilizer as a mixing bowl.

Tub and a Ball

I used Erin’s sterilizer tub, filled it with water and a variety of toys; a spoon, paintbrush, ball, tub etc….

Remember to use a waterproof sheet…..

Choco Face

This month has been ‘choc’ full with christmas, new year and family visits. We’ve laughed, cried and sometimes shouted. You’ve learned to dance and clap. You finally cut your first teeth on new years’ day.
