Christmas is a time for family. I’m especially excited this year to have the kiddy element back in Christmas. The thing I like most about family at christmas is the way that everyone has their own familiar roles.
At my nan’s, my nan would cook, the mums would help with the cooking, the kids would lay the table and the dads would do the washing up.
Christmas at home meant mum cooking, and the rest was much the same.
At my mother in laws it’s a little more laid back, everyone helps but in different ways and each year is different.
There will come a time when I most probably will host Christmas, it’ll be interesting to see who falls into which roles then
