Christmas Eve when I was younger was usually a chance to relax and watch the good programmes on tv.

At my nan’s it was an opportunity to play with my cousins and rehearse plays and shows which we would make everyone watch. We would even draw up invitations and provide intervals with refreshments

This year we are going to invite family round and have a picnic tea so they can all see Erin before she goes to bed.
