14k to Send One Child to School

It costs practically a year’s salary (to some) to send one child to school, that’s state school by the way.

    To be fair, over the course of 11 years, that’s not actually that bad – about £100 a month if I’ve done me sums right. Still a whole heckuva lot cheaper than a private school, and if they have the right backup at home and decent teachers, it’s perfectly possible to get a damn good education out of the state system.

    I agree, it’s just when you look at it in the context of some peoples salaries, it’s no wonder there are people struggling financially.
